Joseph Thompson, QC & Clair Tooze, QC founded the firm in 1948. Collectively, they represented the top players of insurance industries located in Toronto’s business core. Richard Mclean joined them as partner in 1963 and now sits as the most senior counsel and partner emeritus.. In 1992, Mark Elkin joined this prestigious law firm. He is now the managing partner at Thompson Tooze Mclean Elkin and was made partner in 1996. In 2000, the firm moved to the current St. Patrick Street address located just steps away from Toronto’s University court house. Our downtown Toronto offices are easily accessible.
